Selections may be made by various USMS Districts in the duty locations listed within this announcement. The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Program Support Specialist. You will be responsible for providing advice and assistance to management on human resources, financial, budget management, procurement, property management, records management, conducting management and program analysis studies, and maintaining and implementing internal controls for all program areas.
DutiesAs a Supervisory Program Support Specialist at the GS-0301- 12 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Working closely with the Administrative Officer (AO) on implementing processes for providing administrative services for the district's main and/or sub-office(s).
- Supervising a subordinate staff of administrative, technical and clerical personnel.
- Setting goals and priorities.
- Preparing schedules for completion of work.
- Analyzing the district's financial obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with USMS policies and procedures.
- Providing oversight of the property management program.
- Assuring contractors are performing projects that have quality and timeliness measures in place.

GS-12 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-0301-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification:
Specialized Experience: One year (52 weeks) of full-time specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal service performing the following duties: 1) Providing oversight of an office's administrative services in order to investigate, evaluate and resolve a variety of problems and/or conditions; 2) Monitoring a budget to ensure that funds are obligated; 3) Compiling, reviewing and analyzing report data for completeness and accuracy; and 4) Monitoring and/or approving controlling accountable government equipment, material, and supplies.
