Are you a U.S. military veteran with a strong background in legal support and contract management? Veteran Hiring Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Paralegal to join a fast-paced, innovation-driven legal team. In this role, you will support legal operations by performing complex legal research, reviewing and preparing contracts, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring legal compliance across the organization. Your work will play a critical role in helping the legal department scale and deliver strategic support across business functions.

What You’ll Do:

Contract Management & Legal Support:

  • Review, draft, redline, and negotiate various agreements across the organization, ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Assist in finalizing and executing contracts, coordinating cross-functional approvals and tracking key milestones.
  • Create and maintain contract templates and clause libraries to ensure consistency and transactional efficiency.
  • Interpret and summarize legal documents and contractual obligations for internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and update agreement databases and internal legal tools to ensure up-to-date records and compliance.

Research & Documentation:

  • Conduct complex legal research and provide summaries to support case strategy and compliance decisions.
  • Draft legal correspondence, memoranda, and other documentation with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Ensure all legal documents and filings meet applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
  • Assist in preparing and managing legal filings, corporate governance documents, and internal legal reports.

Workflow Optimization & Case Management:

  • Manage legal cases from initiation through resolution, including organization of files, documentation, and tracking deadlines.
  • Develop and improve systems for managing legal operations, projects, and response timelines.
  • Support process optimization and help implement operational improvements within the legal function.
  • Collaborate with legal team members to set and meet strategic goals aligned with organizational priorities.

Requirements
  • Must have served in the U.S. Armed Forces (active duty, reserves, or guard).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is required.
  • 5+ years of experience as a paralegal in a corporate or law firm environment.


Skills & Abilities:

  • Deep knowledge of legal terminology, documentation standards, and contract structure.
  • Ability to conduct complex legal research using platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Proven experience managing legal workflows, deadlines, and cross-departmental communications.
  • High level of professionalism and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, startup-style environment.
  • Initiative-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities as needed.
  • Proficiency in legal software tools, CLM platforms (e.g., DocuSign), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
