Overview
The Paralegal will provide essential legal support to General Counsel, contributing to the delivery of strategic legal guidance across Free TV Network’s entertainment and media operations. This role is responsible for assisting in contract management, intellectual property protection, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Support & Research
- Conduct legal research on entertainment law, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare legal memoranda, summaries, and briefing documents for General Counsel and executive leadership.
- Monitor changes in media regulations and assist in developing proactive legal strategies.
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and manage contracts including vendor agreements, NDAs, licensing deals, and service agreements.
- Implement and maintain a system to track all contracts and pending agreements, ensuring timely renewals, version control, compliance, and visibility into contract status and progress.
- Assist in deal structuring and documentation for content acquisition and distribution agreements.
Intellectual Property & Brand Protection
- Support trademark filings, renewals, and enforcement actions.
- Maintain IP portfolios and coordinate with external counsel on brand protection initiatives.
- Assist in copyright clearance and rights management for television and film content.
Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Prepare board materials, resolutions, and corporate filings.
- Ensure documentation aligns with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support compliance initiatives related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and labor law.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with all senior leadership led teams, including HR and finance, to ensure legal alignment across departments.
- Translate legal concepts into actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
- Help coordinate external counsel engagements and litigation support.
Requirements
Education & Experience/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, or related field.
- Paralegal certification from an ABA-accredited program (preferred).
- Additional coursework in media law, intellectual property, or entertainment law (a plus).
- 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in media, entertainment, or corporate law.
- Familiarity with FAST platforms, broadcast distribution models, and digital media regulations (a plus).
- Experience supporting senior legal executives or in-house counsel teams.
Skills & Abilities

- Familiarity with content licensing and media regulations.
