The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of litigation experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ethical foundation, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage cases toward resolution.
As a remote-friendly firm, we offer flexibility while maintaining the expectation of in-person court appearances and client meetings within the Bay Area. We strongly prefer an in-state candidate but will consider attorneys licensed in California who live in locations with quick and accessible flights to the state.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation & Legal Strategy
- Draft and respond to Requests for Orders (RFOs)
- Handle law and motion hearings with confidence
- Collaborate with partners on trial preparation and case strategy
Discovery & Case Management
- Develop comprehensive discovery plans
- Draft and respond to discovery requests
- Review, analyze, and evaluate evidence
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Prepare discovery motions and supporting materials
Client & Case Oversight
- Identify and analyze key legal issues
- Utilize case management software for efficiency
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- California Bar License (required)
- Experience handling family law litigation and procedural nuances
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Strong case management and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel for court appearances and client meetings in the Bay Area
- Comfort working in a remote-first environment while maintaining professional excellence
