Job Description

The Legal Management Team is seeking a seasoned Pre-Litigation Attorney to lead and manage a robust portfolio of personal injury claims before they escalate to litigation.
This hybrid role (2–3 days/week onsite in Los Angeles) is ideal for a high-performing attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, structured environment and is ready to take ownership of end-to-end pre-litigation strategy and execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee 50–80 active pre-lit cases from intake through settlement
  • Collaborate with Sr. Case Managers and legal assistants to optimize case outcomes
  • Manage client communication, medical treatment timelines, and demand strategy
  • Draft, revise, and finalize settlement demands with precision
  • Negotiate with insurance carriers and resolve liens strategically
  • Maintain compliance with internal SOPs and case handling standards
  • Flag cases for litigation transition when appropriate


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Average recovery per case vs. benchmarks
  • Cycle time: Intake to settlement
  • Pre-lit closure rate without escalation
  • Lien reduction success rate
  • Client satisfaction scores and reviews


Requirements

  • JD + Active California Bar License
  • Minimum 5 years of pre-litigation experience in personal injury law
  • Proven track record of high-volume case management
  • Ability to lead teams, set case strategy, and make data-informed decisions
  • Experience with systems like Filevine, Lead Docket, RingCentral, or similar
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively under pressure
