Legal Management Group See More Job Openings by This EmployerThe Legal Management Team is seeking a seasoned Pre-Litigation Attorney to lead and manage a robust portfolio of personal injury claims before they escalate to litigation.
This hybrid role (2–3 days/week onsite in Los Angeles) is ideal for a high-performing attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, structured environment and is ready to take ownership of end-to-end pre-litigation strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee 50–80 active pre-lit cases from intake through settlement
- Collaborate with Sr. Case Managers and legal assistants to optimize case outcomes
- Manage client communication, medical treatment timelines, and demand strategy
- Draft, revise, and finalize settlement demands with precision
- Negotiate with insurance carriers and resolve liens strategically
- Maintain compliance with internal SOPs and case handling standards
- Flag cases for litigation transition when appropriate
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Average recovery per case vs. benchmarks
- Cycle time: Intake to settlement
- Pre-lit closure rate without escalation
- Lien reduction success rate
- Client satisfaction scores and reviews
Requirements
- JD + Active California Bar License
- Minimum 5 years of pre-litigation experience in personal injury law
- Proven track record of high-volume case management
- Ability to lead teams, set case strategy, and make data-informed decisions
- Experience with systems like Filevine, Lead Docket, RingCentral, or similar
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively under pressure
