Job Description

Assist attorneys with review of marketing and advertising collateral including press releases, websites, mobile applications, and social media content for compliance with trademarks, rights of privacy/rights of publicity, intellectual property license agreements, and corporate guidelines.  Review of scripts and storyboards for social media, radio and television commercials.  Review and prepare first-draft product and offer terms and conditions, deal memos, and boilerplate marketing contracts including disclosures, promotions/sweepstakes rules and agreements, advertising orders, waivers/releases/indemnity agreements, and other marketing and advertising related agreements, and revise based on attorney and client feedback.  Draft correspondence.  Track deadlines.  Maintain contract files.

Assist in monitoring compliance with company-wide policies and initiatives related to customer data, privacy and security.  Act as a first point of contact for general day-to-day inquiries and as a filter to facilitate answers to queries across all internal departments as needed.  Perform additional tasks as directed. 

Qualifications

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 to 7 years of in-house experience with a general focus on marketing/advertising, intellectual property and internet-related/privacy matters, preferably in the entertainment industry.   
  • Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.  

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous experience specifically related to marketing/advertising through digital marketing and social media is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight and be able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively.
  • Team player with a strong orientation toward collaborative, results-oriented environment.
  • High level of professionalism, diplomacy and judgment in order to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Resourceful and a strong work ethic.
