Offit Kurman, an AmLaw 200 law firm, is seeking a highly skilled commercial litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Los Angeles office. This role provides direct support to four attorneys within our busy litigation practice and requires strong experience in complex litigation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, client-centered environment. Transcription/dictation experience is a significant plus.
Responsibilities:

Manage complex attorney calendars, including meetings, hearings, court appearances, and travel.

Draft, proofread, and prepare a wide variety of legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.

Handle new client/matter intake, ensuring proper documentation and timely processing.

Maintain highly organized paper and electronic filing systems, pleadings, discovery, and case materials.

Conduct legal research and assist with filings in state and federal courts.

Serve as a primary contact for clients, delivering excellent service and professional communication.

Support attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization and deadline coordination.

Process expense reports, reimbursements, credit card reconciliations, and other financial documentation.

Uphold strict confidentiality and compliance with all legal and firm standards.

Collaborate with legal teams to ensure efficient and proactive case management.

Perform additional administrative tasks as required to support attorney and firm operations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

3+ years of administrative experience in a law firm or professional services environment.

Complex litigation experience is required (case management, filings, discovery, motion practice, exhibit prep).

Ability to work onsite and reliably commute to the Los Angeles Offit Kurman office.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to read, review, and route legal documents with accuracy.

Excellent production skills, including formatting, editing, scanning, and data entry.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional client service abilities and a professional, polished demeanor.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, OneNote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), document management systems, and time entry software.

Transcription/dictation experience is a strong advantage (Philips SpeechLive experience a plus).
