Who are we? Greenberg Gross LLP is a high-stakes boutique trial firm tackling some of society's most critical issues. We are growing rapidly and looking for team members who want to help us build our future. We currently have an opening for a Nurse Paralegal on our Elder Abuse Team.
Position Overview:This is a unique paralegal position that is ideal for a nurse or former nurse who is interested in the legal field. Your clinical expertise will be invaluable in analyzing medical records, understanding healthcare terminology, and assisting attorneys in preparing cases with significant medical components.
Key Responsibilities:- Review, organize, and summarize medical records and related documentation with the assistance of AI.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Draft and proofread pleadings and discovery responses.
- Manage case files and electronic discovery, including document review and production.
- Conduct medical and factual research.
- Communicate with clients, medical experts, and opposing counsel.
- 1-2 years of paralegal experience experience a plus.
- Background in Nursing, Elder Care, or similar
- Tech savvy, with the ability to quickly pick up new software
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Paralegal Certificate (ABA-approved) or qualification under CA Business & Professions Code § 6450(c).
- Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed (travel is rarely needed).
