Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to assist with contract review and negotiation and to serve as a key member of our in-house legal department. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of an attorney, providing essential support in drafting, analyzing, and negotiating various contracts. This role demands a strong understanding of contractual terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. We are a high-paced environment that requires handling a significant volume of contracts in an efficient manner to capture material deal terms while ensuring that we are business-minded and solution oriented.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, and summarize contracts and legal documents to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant laws.
  • Assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions, through redlining agreements, telephone and email negotiations with internal stakeholders and external clients and opposing counsel.
  • Conduct legal research to support contract negotiations and inform decision-making processes.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts and related documents, ensuring timely updates and compliance with real estate licensing law and signing authority.
  • Prepare reports and brief summaries of contract terms, highlighting key provisions and potential risks.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documentation and correspondences relevant to contract matters.
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and other third parties to gather information and facilitate negotiations.
  • Support attorneys in other legal tasks as necessary, which may include compliance and licensing oversight, legal research, legal department functions and departmental task management.
  • Some task with require data entry and ensuring systems and processes are being implemented and tracked.

 



Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in paralegal studies or related field
  • ABA accredited Paralegal Certificate desired
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with legal contracts including Engagement agreements, MSA's, NDA's etc
  • Current or previous experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

The ideal candidate will have…

  • High School Diploma is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal environment is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrative role is required
  • Previous experience in SharePoint or another document management system is preferred
  • Previous experience in a corporate setting is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret basic legal documents
  • Strong organizational savvy and diplomacy skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all company matters
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet periodic deadlines
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and proofreading
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • Must have a high level of accountability and strong decision-making skills and attention to details
  • Must be a team player and be willing to work together to accomplish goals

 

Salary: $38/hr. - $48.07/hr.
The hourly rate is between $26.00 and $31.00per hour, and the anticipated annual base compensation range for this position will be $79,040- $99,985.6 inclusive of required overtime
