ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced corporate paralegal and contract manager to join our team. This position is anticipated to support all members of the legal department and report to the Chief Legal Officer or another member of the legal team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, strategic and a team player. This position is located in our corporate headquarters in Miami, Florida – remote candidates are not being considered at this time.
Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
- Support the legal team in the management of contracts throughout their lifecycle, tracking contract deadlines and renewals, redlining and proofreading contracts, and managing contract execution and filing.
- Handle day-to-day operations of matter intake system, contract management software, legal databases and document folders.
- Draft, revise, help prepare and maintain various legal documents, including contracts, templates, reports, correspondence, presentations, and other ancillary documents.
- Under the direction of the Deputy General Counsel, support the Company’s public disclosure requirements by assisting with SEC filings and other regulatory documentation.
- Help prepare, maintain and file corporate records, filings and organization documents for new and existing entities.
- Update, as directed, corporate and regulatory policies, templates, operating procedures, spreadsheets, tracking charts and other organizational materials.
- Assist with trademark and copyright portfolio management.
- Develop and handle detailed project schedules and work plans and provide reporting and updates on projects, programs, and progress.
- Coordinate and manage requests and communications with external legal counsel and service providers.
- Liaison between legal team and other departments, coordinating and fielding legal requests, communicating updates and requirements and providing contractual information in response to business inquiries.
- And other duties as assigned.
ABOUT YOU
- At least five years of experience as a corporate paralegal and/or contracts manager.
- Ability to manage complex documentation and reporting requirements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated capability to handle multiple tasks and projects efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Comfortable taking ownership of projects, including appropriate follow-up.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
