
PeakMade Real Estate is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Paralegal to support Peak’s risk & compliance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lease and contract administration with experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency.
What You’ll Do:
Lease Administration & Contract Support
- Assist in the administration of residential leases using standardized form leases.
- Customize lease agreements based on location-specific requirements.
- Draft simple lease addenda and monitor legal updates based on state/local laws.
- Maintain and update library of regulated tenant notices.
- Audit lease compliance and assist field teams with training and support.
- Review and edit contracts and maintain contract database.
Insurance Administration
- Review incident reports and manage the filing and tracking of insurance claims.
- Oversee worker’s compensation claim management.
- Advise on insurance compliance in contracts and support risk control initiatives.
Legal Compliance Support
- Track and interpret legal updates to ensure company compliance.
- Communicate legal requirements clearly to property management teams.
- Develop and distribute compliance resources for internal use.
Department Administration & Licensing Support
- Maintain the company’s real estate and other operational licenses in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Abstract Property Management Agreements as needed.
- Process invoices and manage department payments.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings.
- Provide additional administrative support as needed.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree required; major in paralegal studies or paralegal certification preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in lease or contract administration within a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency.
- Technical Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong research and reading comprehension skills.
- Effective workload prioritization and time management skills.
