The Grant Services Branch (GSB) within the Office of Fiscal Services (OFS) is expanding its newly established Grant Management Unit (GMU) and is seeking motivated, detail-orientated, and forward-thinking individuals to join our growing team as a Grant Support Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how the California Department of Justice (DOJ) supports and oversees its statewide grant programs. The DOJ offers a flexible telework environment that supports work-life balance, and this position offers a hybrid telework schedule, with the ability to work remotely and report to the office as needed based on operational requirements. The successful candidate must be available to report to the office in Sacramento as directed by management or for essential in-person meetings, trainings, or assignments.
As part of the GMU, you’ll play a key role in advancing DOJ’s efforts to strengthen public safety and community partnerships through effective grant management and fiscal accountability.

Under the general direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II performs a wide range of analytical, research, and coordination activities in support of DOJ’s statewide grant programs.
The Analyst II will:
- Research, analyze, and interpret grant policies, legislation, and funding opportunities impacting DOJ programs.
- Compile and track data on grant awards, timelines, and deliverables to support compliance monitoring and fiscal reporting.
- Develop recommendations on process improvements, system enhancements, and reporting tools to improve grant administration and oversight.
- Exercise independent judgement, strong analytical skills, and adaptability in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Salary- $6,031 - $7,775/month
