Commercial Real Estate Attorney

Practice Area: Commercial Real Estate & Lending

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Salary: $175,000 to $275,000 (commensurate with experience and expertise)


Description:

A prominent and nationally recognized law firm's Fort Lauderdale office is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Real Estate Associate to join its dynamic Real Estate group. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of strong commercial real estate experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in sophisticated real estate transactions. This includes significant involvement in acquisitions, lending, and leasing. The role requires a candidate with admission to practice in Florida, immediate transferable skills, and a strong academic background complemented by excellent writing skills. The firm is seeking candidates who can immediately contribute to complex real estate matters and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects for a diverse client base.
  • Represent major institutional clients in real estate financing, including loan origination, negotiation, and documentation.
  • Handle all aspects of sophisticated commercial leasing transactions, representing landlords and tenants in high-value office, retail, and industrial leasing.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, analyze complex title and survey matters, and resolve intricate real estate-related issues.
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases, and other critical real estate-related agreements.
  • Provide strategic counsel on zoning, land use, and other regulatory matters affecting real estate development and investment.


Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of strong commercial real estate experience, preferably in a large law firm setting.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
  • Admission to practice law in Florida is required.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle complex legal issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing the highest quality legal services to sophisticated clients.
