We are looking for an Intern to work with our team in the Legal Operations Department in supporting the legal needs of our hospitals, physician practices and ambulatory facilities. This will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience while you integrate knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and develop your skills in a professional setting.
Program Overview:

Responsibilities
- Develop learning objectives and goals that are structured into the experience within the field of healthcare law and operations.
- Opportunity to participate and learn about healthcare law and operations while completing projects that are value added to the business.
- Weekly check ins with Manager on performance & objectives.
- Willingness to promote academic, career and personal development.
- Opportunity to provide and receive feedback.
- Utilize problem solving skills.
- Assists in special projects, as needed.
Qualifications
- Prefer candidates with at least one year of legal education or relevant experience.
- Interest in learning about healthcare law and operations.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
- Exhibits exceptional verbal, written and interactive communication skills.
- Demonstrates effective research tactics, good organizational skills.
- Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers.
- Commits to continuous learning; being self‐motivated and self‐directed.
- Ability to work independently with sense of urgency to task completion.
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities.
