The Legal Intern will support the Legal Department by conducting legal research, summarizing applicable laws and regulations, and assisting with the management of litigation cases and legal files. This internship provides a unique opportunity for a future law student to gain hands-on experience with legal research, case management, and exposure to local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The intern will also contribute to the department by offering fresh perspectives and exploring innovative ways to leverage technology for improved efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Research and Analysis:
Research legal issues presented by other departments and prepare concise summaries of applicable laws and regulations for review by department heads.
Stay updated on relevant legal developments that may impact the company’s operations.
Litigation Support:
Assist with the management of litigation cases, including organizing and maintaining legal files.
Support the litigation process, from the receipt of a Complaint through discovery and other stages of the legal process.
Administrative Support:
Perform administrative tasks related to case management, such as maintaining case files and tracking deadlines.
Support the Legal Department in managing correspondence, document preparation, and other operational activities.
Innovation and Efficiency:
Contribute fresh perspectives to the Legal Department’s workflow and processes.
Explore and propose technological solutions to enhance department efficiency and streamline case management.
