
Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking a talented Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney to join its national Personal Planning Practice Group in Seattle or Bellevue. This is a unique opportunity to work with a collaborative team of sophisticated practitioners on high-value, complex estate planning matters for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
Candidate Profile:

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

Active Bar Admission in Washington.

2–8 years of substantive transactional experience in estate planning and trust and estate administration.
- LL.M. in Taxation is preferred, but not required.

Strong knowledge of federal estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws.

Experience with the structuring and implementation of sophisticated estate planning strategies, including family limited partnerships, grantor trusts, GRATs, and charitable planning.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients and collaborate effectively with family office advisors and fiduciaries.

Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on estate and tax planning strategies tailored to their specific needs and goals.

Draft a wide variety of planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced directives.

Assist clients with the creation and administration of family offices, and with planning related to closely held businesses, private foundations, and special assets such as art and real estate.

Represent fiduciaries in the administration, modification, and decanting of complex trusts.

Collaborate with attorneys in other practice groups to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary advice to clients.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $235,000 to $420,000 annually. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, medical, dental, and vision insurance, personal medical and parental leave, up to ten paid holidays, family care benefits, and a 401(k) plan.
