Deputy Clerk – Staunton Circuit Court Clerk's Office

 

The Staunton Circuit Court Clerk's Office is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Clerk. This position plays an important role in providing excellent public service while supporting the daily operations of the Clerk's Office.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service by assisting the public, attorneys, and court personnel in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner. Strong computer skills are required, including the ability to accurately enter data, prepare documents, and complete work efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Deputy Clerks are entrusted with handling sensitive and confidential information and must exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in all aspects of their work. This position requires the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, adapt to changing demands, and perform a variety of complex duties across all divisions of the Clerk's Office.

Successful candidates will work collaboratively with coworkers, judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and other members of the court system while maintaining the integrity and efficiency of court operations.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience working in a clerk's office, court, or other legal environment.

The successful candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and committed to providing outstanding service while supporting the mission of the Staunton Circuit Court Clerk's Office.

 

Starting salary dependent upon experience, plus full benefits.  This position is open until filled. EOE
