Job Summary:We are seeking a Virginia Barred Litigation Attorney to join our team in Tysons Corner, VA. This role requires a strong background in civil litigation, particularly in real estate, foreclosure, creditor rights, and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience attending court, handling hearings, and managing the litigation process from inception to resolution.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
Bonus: Additional earnings based on revenue generated from settlements and hourly rates
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in Virginia state and federal courts in real estate, foreclosure, and creditor rights litigation.
Attend court proceedings, hearings, and trials as required.
Draft pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
Handle discovery, depositions, and trial preparation efficiently.
Provide strategic legal advice to clients, including financial institutions, landlords, and homeowner/condominium associations.
Conduct legal research and stay up to date on changes in laws affecting our practice areas.
Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and manage caseload effectively.
Qualifications:
Must be actively barred in Virginia and in good standing.
3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in real estate, foreclosure, or creditor rights.
Experience attending court proceedings and handling litigation is required.
Strong knowledge of Virginia civil procedure and court rules.
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience working with financial institutions, real estate companies, or homeowner associations is a plus.
