Role:
The Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing essential administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal professionals within the firm. This role involves a wide range of tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the legal department.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Document Management: Assist in organizing and managing legal documents, including case files, pleadings, and correspondence. Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
- Research: Conduct legal research to support attorneys in case preparation, including pulling documents from the court system effectively.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to schedule meetings, gather information, and relay messages as necessary.
- eFilings: Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, following established procedures and deadlines.
- Calendar Management: Maintain attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and reminders for court dates, meetings, and deadlines.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including answering phones as well as handling incoming and outgoing mail.

Compensation:
Starting Salary: $20.40 per hour. Salary will increase commensurately with your experience in Probate or Guardianship.
