Job Summary:
The Paralegal II is responsible for supporting the Office of the General Counsel in two or more of the following substantive areas of law: Contracts, Privacy, Intellectual Property, Real Estate, M&A Employment, Real Estate, Privacy, Regulatory, Governance, and/or Litigation.
Essential Functions:
- Provide support to attorneys on the CareSource Legal team
- Act as first level responder to internal and external inquiries related to areas of responsibility
- Review and/or prepare a variety of legal documents including affidavits, contracts, correspondence, forms, filings, leases, legal notices, memorandums, and responses to government agencies
- Effectively research and summarize legal issues using search engines, articles, judicial decisions, and other resources
- Initiate, gather and analyze information related to various legal issues and make recommendations
- Effectively prioritize workload and monitor deadlines
- Accurately communicate relevant and potentially sensitive information to and from internal and external partners
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise good judgment
- May handle administrative responsibilities delegated by senior attorneys
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
- Five (5) years of relevant experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is required
- Healthcare and/or managed care experience preferred

Compensation Range:
