Duties The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
- Distributes and balances workload among employees in accordance with established workflow, priorities, and/or job specialization; assures timely accomplishment of assigned work and that each employee has an adequate workload
- Monitors the status and progress of work and makes day-to-day adjustments in assignments in accordance with established priorities; obtains assistance from the supervisor on problems that cannot be resolved at the leader level, such as significant backlogs or resource constraints.
- Maintains current information on workload, assignments, and production, and reports on work accomplishments, progress, and anticipated completion times, as requested by the supervisor.
- Instructs employees in specific tasks and job techniques, and makes available written instructions, reference materials, and supplies; ensures employees are aware of and follow established procedures.
- Provides on-the-job training {OJT) to new and lower-graded employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.

- $56,164 - $73,010/year
- Probationary Period - A person who is required to go through a probationary period and then is transferred, promoted, demoted, or reassigned before he or she completes such period is required to complete the remainder of the probationary period in the new position.

Federal experience is not required. Experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or through Volunteer Service. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience GS-08: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Providing guidance, workload coordination, and quality oversight to team members in accordance with organizational goals and objectives. Resolving sensitive taxpayer account problems involving multiple tax periods, prior account activity, and conflicting information within the accounts. Overseeing the impact of corrective actions on account accuracy and related transactions made by team members and/or colleagues' work. Ensuring account resolution through the computation of taxes, penalties, and interest, including restricted interest. Applying tax laws and regulations to make determinations in sensitive taxpayer cases that includes the statute of limitations provisions. Supporting taxpayer voluntary compliance by ensuring account discrepancies or other issues are addressed timely, contributing to the administration of applicable tax laws across Campus Examination Automated Underreporter (CEA).

- TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT (TACA): By the closing date (or if this is an open continuous announcement, by the cut-off date) specified in this job announcement, current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non-temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment. For this requirement, a competitive appointment is one where you applied to and were appointed from an announcement open to "All US Citizens"
- TIME IN GRADE (TIG): For positions above the GS-05,applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the grade you are applying for. For positions at the GS-05, you cannot advance to the GS-05 if you have held a GS-02 in the past 52 weeks. There is no TIG restriction for GS-02, 03 or 04 positions.
- BILINGUAL POSITION: Applicants will be required to demonstrate proficiency (ability to speak, read, and write) in both English and Spanish. You may be tested at some point in the hiring process to determine if you possess the required level of proficiency. If you are unable to demonstrate proficiency, you will not be considered for the position.
