Job Summary:

The Legal Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Paralegal and the Legal Department on various projects, including but not limited to, Accident and Incident reporting, tanning registrations, licensing, corporate formations, and research.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Receive and review accident reports timely, follow up with managers as needed to obtain necessary details, initiate insurance claims process
  • Record and track member accidents.  Identify trends and recurring issues. 
  • Reviews accident reports with Paralegal and Legal Department when incident is likely to turn into a claim.
  • Conduct quarterly training with Club Management on Accident/Incident reporting procedures
  • Maintain and update current club tanning registration per state regulations and register new clubs as needed.
  • Work with state when remediating any tanning violations
  • Assist with company Acquisitions and New Builds
  • Research local licensing for acquisitions and new clubs.
  • Keep legal folder in SharePoint up to date and organized.
  • Assist Legal with Administrative Duties and responsibilities including but not limited to scheduling, platform organization, and license organization.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Some legal knowledge preferred
  • Proven experience in organizing and maintaining databases
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, on time and within budget.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Primarily a sedentary role requiring extended periods of time performing work on a computer and general office duties with low physical demands.
  •  Occasional lifting of boxes and supplies of 25 lbs.
