Job Description
Shulman Rogers' Family Law and Fiduciary Litigation Group is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Potomac office. The successful candidate with 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience will assume an immediate key role in highly diversified family law and fiduciary litigation matters.
Responsibilities:
- Draft basic pleadings, discovery requests and responses, including obje
- Organize, maintain and review documents from clients, opposing parties, and third parties for use in discovery, depositions, witness preparation, and trial.
- Trial and deposition preparation, including exhibit preparation and other trial materials.
- Conduct witness interviews and summarize key information thoroughly for attorney review.
- Responsible for electronic filing (MDEC and CaseFileXpress) in Maryland and D.C.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant litigation paralegal experience. Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court rules related to litigation.
- Familiarity with Maryland and D.C. rules and procedures, and/or ability to proactively learn same.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and interpersonal skills, including professionalism when speaking with clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management software, and able to effectively use other litigation software.
- Proven legal research skills; proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis or Westlaw.

Salary- $80,000 - $120,000/year
