
Job Description
ProspectBlue has partnered with a law firm in Richmond, VA and is seeking a dedicated and skilled Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant experience handling workers' compensation matters, with a proven track record of effectively managing case files from inception to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Independently handle a full caseload of workers' compensation cases from initial intake through resolution, including litigation and appeals
- Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials as needed
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Perform legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and insurance companies
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on strategy, case development, and client management
- Stay current on developments in workers' compensation law and ensure compliance with applicable legal standards
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Virginia
- 3–5 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and case management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
