Job Description

All positions require that the applicant be a resident of Wyandotte county or willing to relocate within (12) months from the date of hire. As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer physical examination and drug screen. And submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.

Job Description:

The Research and Financial Analyst is a key role within the Wyandotte County District Attorney's Office, responsible for managing and analyzing grant awards, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and providing financial support to the office. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management, grant administration, and data analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Grant Management: Manage multiple grant awards simultaneously, including grant closeout, grant award maintenance, and compliance reporting. Research and secure existing and new funding opportunities.

  • Financial Analysis: Analyze grant proposals, awards, and financial reports to ensure compliance with grant and office objectives and goals. Analyze trends and spending.

  • Budget Management: Make data driven budget recommendations to leadership. Create and adjust financial budgets based on contract requirements. Track funding levels to ensure timely disbursement, reimbursements and adequate funding and support for operational obligations

  • Data Management: Develop and maintain tracking and reporting processes, including fiscal/budget plans, grant personnel reports, and asset inventory.

  • Agency and Internal Coordination: Serve as a liaison between the DAs Office and partner agencies and organizational departments.

  • Accounts Payable: Reconcile and pay operating expenditure.

  • Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, records management, and fiscal analysis.

  • Financial presentations: Compile data and statistics for management review.

  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with grant management and financial analysis.

  • • Effective written and verbal communication.

  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

  • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree

  • Grant Writing experience

  • Advanced excel

  • Experience in professional legal setting.

  • Experience with federal grants life cycle.

  • Experience in a nonprofit, social service, or government consulting environment

. Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to travel to various locations within the metro area as needed

  • Abilit to bend and lift to 10lbs.
