Description

MDK, an innovative law firm, is seeking a relationship-driven Client Relationship Manager to play a key role in developing and sustaining client relationships to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and business growth. The CRM is responsible for managing assigned client interactions, assisting with departmental efforts to position MDK within our service industries, retaining and growing current business, and expanding client engagement. In addition to maintaining strong relationships, the CRM is accountable for identifying, developing, and executing on new business opportunities within existing client accounts. With the support of the Senior Manager and the Director of Business Development, the CRM ensures consistent delivery of support, communication, and insights that both strengthen trust and expand MDK’s portfolio of services

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Client Relationship Development:
    • Build and maintain long-term, trusting client relationships, serving as a primary contact to ensure expectations are understood and met.
  2. Relationship Management Strategy:
    • Develop and implement targeted relationship management strategies that deepen client engagement and align with client goals, while actively collaborating with team members to enhance and execute these strategies effectively.
  3. Client Value Identification:
    • Identify opportunities to improve the quality, efficiency, and overall experience of the services clients already use. These efforts strengthen MDK’s position as a trusted partner and naturally create openings for new business opportunities.
  4. Line of Business and Jurisdictional Expansion:
    • Develop new business opportunities within existing client accounts and work closely with leadership to design strategies, present proposals, and secure additional engagements.
  5. Brand and Industry Positioning:
    • Actively promote MDK’s capabilities during client interactions, positioning the firm as a strategic partner and trusted provider of expanded services.
  6. Client Communication and Advocacy:
    • Serve as an advocate for clients within the firm, ensuring open communication to anticipate needs, resolve issues, and promote understanding.
  7. Client Meetings:
    • Lead monthly and quarterly client check-in calls, ensuring ongoing alignment between client needs and the firm’s service delivery. These meetings also serve as a key opportunity to uncover and advance growth opportunities. This will occasionally include in-person meetings.
  8. Project Management and Coordination:
    • Oversee client project timelines and deliverables by collaborating with internal teams, ensuring consistent and timely communication on progress.
  9. Escalated Client Issues:
    • Act as a resource for escalated client matters, facilitating resolutions by coordinating with firm management and internal stakeholders.
  10. Client Presentations and Materials:
    • Assist in the creation and presentation of client experience materials, messaging, and training resources to support MDK’s brand.
  11. Brand Loyalty and Client Engagement:
    • Enhance MDK’s brand loyalty by promoting our mission and values both internally and externally through all client interactions.
  12. Client Visits and Industry Events:
    • Participate in client travel and attend industry conferences to build connections, promote MDK’s capabilities, and stay current on industry trends.
  13. Support Team Initiatives:
    • Contribute to team and firm-wide goals, engaging in additional department projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

 

  • Requires a high school diploma. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field preferred.
  • Requires three or more years of related work experience in client relationship management, account management, or other client-facing roles in legal or professional services.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, project management and coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products and communication platforms.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • In-office presence to support team collaboration and in-person meetings and activities as needed.
