Associate Attorney

Porter Scott, Sacramento’s premier civil litigation firm, is seeking ambitious and energetic Associate Attorneys who are passionate about advocacy and trial practice. As an Associate at Porter Scott, you will join a highly respected team with deep roots in Northern California’s legal community. Our firm is committed to training and mentoring associates to become the region’s top trial attorneys and, ultimately, shareholders.

In this role, you will handle a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution. You will be responsible for drafting pleadings, managing discovery, preparing and arguing motions, conducting and defending depositions, and participating in mediations, arbitrations, and trials. You will work closely with partners and colleagues to develop strategies and ensure the highest level of client service.

We are looking for candidates with excellent writing, oral advocacy, and time-management skills who demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving ability. We value eager self-starters who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Candidates must be members in good standing with the California State Bar or awaiting bar exam results. Prior law firm or litigation experience is preferred but not required.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience.
