In this role, you will advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on complex estate planning strategies, trust modifications, charitable giving, and succession planning. You will be instrumental in delivering tailored legal solutions that balance technical precision with practical considerations and family dynamics.
Preferred Location:
Target Salary Range: $275,000 - $360,000 annually. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors including but not limited to experience and training, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This role will also be eligible for an annual discretionary variable incentive bonus.

We are seeking a highly skilled and client-focused Senior Associate or Junior Partner with significant experience in estate and wealth planning, trust and estate administration, and business succession planning. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and a compassionate, client-first approach to planning.
In this role, you will advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on complex estate planning strategies, trust modifications, charitable giving, and succession planning. You will be instrumental in delivering tailored legal solutions that balance technical precision with practical considerations and family dynamics.
Preferred Location:
We are open to candidates with an active license and in good standing to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction. However, an active bar license in California and/or Arizona is a plus.
A hybrid work structure is available, with flexibility for remote work depending on the candidate’s experience and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on:
- Complex estate and wealth transfer strategies.
- Asset protection structures and trust administration.
- Business succession planning.
- Charitable and philanthropic strategies.
- Draft and implement a wide range of planning documents, including:
- Revocable and irrevocable trusts.
- Generation-skipping transfer trusts.
- IDGTs, BDGTs, GRATs, and ILITs.
- Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
- Buy-sell agreements and related business planning documents.
- Collaborate with CPAs, wealth advisors, and family office teams to ensure coordinated planning across disciplines.
- Assist with family governance, family meetings, and multigenerational planning structures.
- Identify and proactively advise on income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax issues.
- Conduct legal and financial audits of existing client structures.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school; strong academic record.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in estate planning, wealth transfer, and/or trust and estate administration.
- Deep knowledge of federal estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax rules.
- Proven ability to work with high-net-worth clients and navigate sensitive family dynamics.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of advanced estate planning and tax techniques.
- Experience with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients and complex family dynamics.
- Comfortable managing multiple sophisticated matters with discretion and poise.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and client-focused environment.
- Commitment to client service and building trusted relationships.
Preferred:
- Experience in modifying irrevocable trusts.
- Exposure to closely held business succession issues.
- Prior work with family offices or cross-disciplinary advisory teams.
- Asset protection and entity structuring (e.g., LLCs, FLPs).
- Exposure to planning for entertainers, athletes, or business founders.
- Charitable planning and nonprofit formation.
- Background in accounting or finance.
