Location: 19065 Dr. John Lambert Drive, Suite 2000A, Hammond
Monday-Friday (40 hours per week)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinic Role:
Ø Fulfills patient care responsibilities which may include checking schedules and organizing patient flow, accompanying patients to and from exam room and assisting patients as needed.
Ø Answers telephone/email/EMR inquiries from patients and/or family members
Ø Assesses and document History of Present Illness (HPI), Past History, Surgical History, Medication History, Allergies, Review of Systems and take vital signs
Ø Updates Medications through medical software platform; prepares prescription refill requests on behalf of the provider for review and approval.
Ø Administer IM injections as ordered by the provider
Ø Manage patient electronic medical record (EMR) to ensure information is complete
Ø Maintains a safe, functional, and effective environment for patients, staff and other individuals in the organization while adhering to HIPPA regulations
Ø Identify the training needs of the clinical staff and facilitate how to appropriately meet those needs.
Ø Perform audits of clinical scheduling/documentation and services to facilitate increased productivity
Ø Supervise the day-to-day functions of staff in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Ø Maintain the office so that it is in compliance with company policy and government regulations regarding hygiene, safety and maintenance.
Ø Resolve complaints received from staff, visitors, patients and physicians in regard to patient care.
Ø Plans, evaluates, recommends, and implements new initiatives when appropriate.
Legal Department Role:
Ø Take on a role in the legal department as instructed/ trained.
Ø Medical Records Review: Utilize your clinical expertise to electronically review and analyze medical records in Adobe, identifying inconsistencies, key information, and relevant clinical data pertinent to each case.
Ø Collaboration: Work closely with the MD/ Leadership team to ensure accurate interpretation and summary of medical records, providing critical insights that contribute to patient care.
