As we continue to expand our nationwide practice and take on increasingly complex cases, we are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join our team. This position is integral to maintaining our reputation for setting industry standards in Plaintiff medical malpractice representation, helping us to achieve justice and shockingly positive outcomes for our clients.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Manage a relatively small but complex case load.
  • Propound and answer discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Review medical records summaries and chronologies.
  • Collaborate with in-house nurse paralegals.
  • Contribute to case strategy.
  • Interview, retain, and work with experts.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and trial.
  • Appear at hearings.
  • Prepare for and 2nd chair at trial.

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Exceptional academic record at a top law school.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Florida handling active litigation and trial support, preferably in a plaintiff personal injury law firm.
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical malpractice experience.
  • Medical malpractice defense experience considered with a powerful desire to transition to Plaintiff representation.
  • Experience taking depositions and arguing motions before the court.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Excellent client management and client communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills, including case management systems. FileVine experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively, with the agility to adapt seamlessly to either.
  • Member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
  • Bilingual (Eng/Span) a plus.
