As the Intake Attorney at The Jeffcoat Firm, you will manage the initial client intake process for civil claims, review potential cases, interact with potential clients, and determine case acceptance. The Intake Attorney will vet cases for Firm representation or to be referred to the Firm’s referral partners.   


What you'll be doing:

  • Handle civil intake calls to evaluate and determine the feasibility and potential value of claims for Firm representation or referral. 
  • Provide preliminary legal guidance to potential clients and explain the Firm’s services. 
  • Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients as necessary. 
  • Leverage the Firm’s referral network to send appropriate claims for prosecution. 
  • Monitor the claims sent out to the Firm’s referral partners. 
  • Be available after hours and during the weekends to take calls as needed. 
  • Document and analyze case details, conduct preliminary legal research as necessary. 
  • Utilize Litify to log, track, and manage client information during the intake process. 
  • Work closely with the New Client Specialists, Case Opening Coordinator, and Case Managers to ensure a smooth transition of cases to assigned attorneys. 
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the client intake process. 
  • Performs other job duties and responsibilities as required.  
  • Attend required daily morning and monthly Firm “All Hands” meetings. 

Who you are: 

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. 
  • Active and in good standing with any state Bar Association. 
  • Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.  
  • Salesforce/Litify case management experience a plus.
