Job Description
- Provide legal representation to homeowner association clients
- Draft and review contracts, easement agreements, governing documents, rules, licenses, and opinion letters
- Analyze statutes, case law, real estate documents, insurance policies, and corporate governance materials
- Perform legal research and issue well-founded legal opinions
- Attend board and annual meetings, including some evenings
- Communicate regularly with clients via phone, email, and in-person
- Participate in client education and business development efforts
- Handle real estate, nonprofit, employment law, fair housing, and contract-related issues
- Maintain accurate records and billing time
Qualifications
- Active license to practice law in Colorado
- 4+ years of relevant experience in real estate law, nonprofit, corporate governance, contracts, employment, or torts
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients with no legal background
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools
- Familiarity with legal billing and case management software a plus
