
Job Description
Position Summary: The Legal Operations Coordinator supports NAF’s Legal Team by ensuring efficient office operations through administrative and program support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support, including coordinating document review, mailings, printing, scanning, invoice processing, Webinar assistance and scheduling for senior staff in multiple departments.
- Organizes and maintains legal and compliance-related documents and data.
- Leads NAF’s legal registration work, coordinating with internal stakeholders across departments and with external partners.
- Responds to NAF member inquiries in a timely and efficient manner, triaging calls to the appropriate staff.
- Maintains calendar, contacts, templates, and other documents for Legal department, including timelines and deliverables.
- Implements document retention policy.
- Serves as primary contact for Legal department intern hiring process.
- Facilitates NAF signature on coalition and community partner letters and public comments and tracks related lobbying information.
- Administers contract operations across departments, including overseeing storage, supplying template agreements, and ensuring all departments comply with contract management processes.
- Assumes responsibility within the role to foster a culture of equity, inclusion, belonging, and accountability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field, or equivalent professional experience (paralegal or legal assistant experience preferred).
- Flexibility and demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and prioritize diverse and detailed tasks with minimal supervision/independently.
- Familiarity with basic legal terminology and U.S. Legal system a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience working with SharePoint a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and data.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups.

- Ability to travel domestically, up to one week approximately 1-2 times per year.
ADA Specifications:
- Normal demands associated with an office and remote office environment.
- Ability to work on computer for prolonged periods, communicate with individuals by telephone, e-mail, face to face and video conferencing technologies.
- Travel may be required up to 10% to support business needs.
