How you will spend your time

As Corporate Counsel, you will provide critical legal support across all areas of TFL’s operations, helping us navigate a variety of legal matters and enabling the company to achieve its business goals while minimizing risk. 

Key Responsibilities:

Business and Contract Support:

  - Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a variety of agreements, including ticketing agreements, event-related contracts, confidentiality agreements, service/vendor contracts, and employment agreements. 

  - Develop and improve agreement templates, transaction workflows, and processes for tracking contract terms. 

Vendor and Software Contract Renewals:

  - Manage all vendor and software contract renewals, with a focus on renegotiating terms to achieve cost savings and improve services. 

  - Collaborate with internal teams to assess contract performance and identify opportunities for better terms. 

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

  - Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. 

  - Monitor regulatory developments relevant to TFL’s business and provide strategic guidance on implications and actions required. 

Risk Management and Strategic Advice:

  - Advise internal teams on legal and business risks related to deals, employment law, privacy, insurance, intellectual property, and other matters. 

  - Provide practical, actionable solutions to complex challenges. 

Policy Development and Enforcement:

  - Maintain, improve, and enforce company policies to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization. 

Cross Departmental Collaboration:

  - Partner with leadership, finance, operations, and other departments to support business initiatives, address legal needs, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

What Is Required?

Experience and Credentials:

  - 3+ years of transactional experience at a law firm or corporate legal department (5+ years preferred). 

  - Experience in the sports or entertainment industry is highly desirable. 

  - Juris Doctor degree and admission in good standing to a U.S. state bar. 

Skills and Attributes:

  - Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills. 

  - Excellent attention to detail, time management, and analytical abilities. 

  - Superior written and oral communication skills. 

  - A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a commitment to integrity.

  - A genuine interest in the live event ticketing business and associated legal issues.
