Ohana Law Firm is looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our attorneys in various areas of family law. Responsibilities- Assist attorneys in the preparation and organization of case files, documentation, and exhibits.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.
- Maintain and manage case calendars, deadlines, and filing systems.
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing evidence and trial exhibits.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines throughout case management.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal.
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of probate is preferred.
- Knowledge of family law and legal terminology is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
