Job Description

Under the direction of the BSO I Supervisor in the Mailroom, and/or BSO Supervisor within Central Services, the Seasonal Clerk is responsible for supporting the current Office Assistants/Office Technician(s). The Seasonal Clerk will assist with the delivery of mail, supplies, and other material to and from various department locations and private businesses, and other state agencies. The Seasonal Clerk will support the Mailroom staff with all mail processing in preparation of delivery as well as operate a postage machine with the purpose of sealing and affixing correct postage on materials to be mailed. The Seasonal Clerk will also assist with filing or digital scanning.

They must be capable of exercising good judgment, initiative, a willingness to assume increasing responsibility for identifying and resolving issues, work well under pressure, and meet short deadlines.

  • This position is located in the Division of Operations, Office of Fiscal Management, Central Services-Mailroom at the Broadway Facility-Sacramento.
  • This position will be filled as Temporary Appointment Authorization (TAU), intermittent appointments.

Special Requirements
