
Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join our Roseland, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Family Law, a demonstrated ability to handle matters of varying complexity, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative, client focused environment while continuing to develop and refine legal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Case Information Statements (CIS), correspondence, pleadings, agreements, court orders, and other documents related to Family Law matters.
- Calculate child support guidelines and assist in other financial aspects of family law matters.
- Conduct legal research and draft briefs for trial and appellate courts.
- Manage day-to-day issues in family law cases, including client communication and document preparation.
- Handle dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, motion practice, and trial/arbitration proceedings.
- Cultivate strong client relationships and ensure a high standard of client service.
- Collaborate with firm attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel to develop effective case strategies.
- Regularly participate in case strategy sessions and client meetings.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the NJ Bar required, NY Bar admission a plus.
- 2+ years of experience practicing Family Law.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, legal practice management software, and e-discovery tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, ethical, and client focused.
Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a salary range of $95,000 - $155,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Attorneys may also be eligible for discretionary year-end bonuses, merit-based increases, and origination credit. The posted salary range reflects the base pay range for this position.
