Under the direction of the Crime Analyst Supervisor (CA Sup), the CA II acts in a lead capacity for the unsealing and destruction process associated with sealed records within the Automated Criminal History System (ACHS). The CA II serves as a subject matter expert on the entire arrest and disposition lifecycle, which includes a broad perspective on maintaining the criminal history repository associated with manual and electronic collection of data. The CA II resolves the most complex criminal history analysis issues specific to requests to unseal and destroy records. The CA II provides direction and assistance to staff on workload processes, conducts research, and may communicate directly with law enforcement and other government agencies.
