**This position is located in Sioux Falls, SD. Relocation or commute is required.**

Cutler Law Firm, LLP is a full-service law firm established in 1997 and is currently located in downtown Sioux Falls. We are involved in the general practice of law, including accidents and personal injury, corporations and partnerships, business and general litigation, labor and employment, probate and guardianships, real estate, and wills and trusts. We also manage several commercial properties throughout Sioux Falls.

Hourly Rate:

  • This position starts at $24 per hour but is dependent upon experience.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm / 40 hours per week
  • Occasional overtime may be required

Position Duties and Requirements:

Cutler Law Firm is looking to fill the position assisting the Business Manager with accounting functions and property management duties. This detail-oriented, organized individual will also complete administrative duties serving the attorneys and staff of the Firm.

Accounting functions include:

  • Process deposits and payments for the Firm’s operating and Trust accounts.
  • Reconcile multiple bank accounts
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Record and process client expenses and staff reimbursements
  • Assist with daily accounting functions
  • Complete billing for attorneys and perform month end procedures

Commercial property management responsibilities include:

  • Manage incoming rent and process invoices for payment
  • Year-end CAM reconciliation
  • Oversee properties to identify maintenance issues and work with property maintenance team to ensure necessary repairs are completed
  • Schedule property showings with potential tenants

This position requires:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, staff and tenants
  • Strong customer service focus and skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and perform well in stressful situations
  • Ability to use good judgement in solving problems and resolving conflict
  • Excellent attendance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Quickbooks
  • Ability to prioritize work and flexibility with schedule (occasional overtime may be required)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two-year Associate's degree and/or prior accounting or property management experience required
