About the Role

Benore Logistic Systems, Inc. is seeking an In-House Counsel to lead legal oversight across corporate operations. In this position, you will manage contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance matters while advising senior leadership on legal strategy and risk. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, a JD from an accredited law school, and active licensure in Michigan or South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts (e.g., logistics, real estate, service agreements)
Manage outside counsel and insurance partners
Advise on legal risks tied to operational and procurement strategies
Oversee corporate governance, entity management, and regulatory compliance
Support internal departments with legal guidance across Transportation, Warehouse, HR, Compliance, and more
Administer and support the company’s Sustainability Program
Monitor changes in industry-related laws and regulations
Conduct audits, legal research, and manage employment law matters
Maintain compliance with ISO certifications and C-TPAT standards

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

JD from an accredited law school
Minimum 5 years of legal experience (corporate, firm, or military)
Licensed to practice in MI or SC
Experience with contracts, corporate governance, and risk management
Preferred: Logistics/transportation law background
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
Strong communication, business judgment, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy
