Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to join our growing legal team in Clark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Personal Injury Paralegal experience, though candidates with 1.5+ years of relevant personal injury experience who demonstrate strong knowledge and the ability to work independently will also be considered.
This is a full-time, in-office position that requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files.
Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other case-related documentation.
Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
Monitor case deadlines and court calendars to ensure timely filings and compliance.
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, mediation, depositions, and settlement conferences.
Coordinate filings with courts and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
Conduct legal and factual research as needed.
Provide exceptional client service by keeping clients informed throughout the legal process.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal
Strong understanding of personal injury litigation procedures and legal documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.
Preferred Skills
Experience handling plaintiff personal injury matters.
Familiarity with court filing procedures and litigation timelines.
Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Professional demeanor with excellent client relationship skills.
