About The Role 

The Global Insurance Services Practice is looking for Life Actuaries with 10+ years of experience. As a Senior Director, you will be responsible for delivering actuarial services to a variety of insurance companies, corporate entities, and/or law firm clients. 

  

What You’ll Do 

  • Take a leadership role in client engagements to include pricing, reserving (including Statement of Actuarial Opinion work), due diligence, development of rating models, predictive modeling, internal controls assessments, and litigation support 

  • Interact confidently and professionally with FTI and client personnel throughout various engagements 

  • Assist with the development of proposals and participate in other business development initiatives 

  • Oversee staff in execution of actuarial services

What You Will Need To Succeed   

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field 

  • Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries 

  • 10+ years of relevant post-graduate professional experience 

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products 

  • Strong time management skills 

  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed 

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of consulting experience 

  • Relevant life insurance or annuity experience in pricing, valuation, and/or reinsurance 

  • Demonstrated ability to interface with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline-driven situations 

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Experience with predictive modeling tools and languages, and actuarial modeling software

Compensation

Minimum Pay: $119,500
Maximum Pay: $329,500

Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
