Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Demand Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal injury claims and insurance disputes, with the ability to draft compelling and fact-based demand letters. This role is essential to supporting pre-litigation efforts and driving positive outcomes for our clients.

Compensation: $15-$16 an hour.



Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive and persuasive demand letters for personal injury, insurance, and related civil claims.
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support liability and damages arguments.
  • Analyze case files, including medical records, billing statements, police reports, witness statements, and other evidence.
  • Collaborate with case managers, attorneys, and clients to gather essential case details.
  • Articulate clear narratives that outline the scope of injuries, losses, and the basis for damages.
  • Ensure demand packages are thorough, compliant with legal standards, and ready for negotiation.
  • Track and follow up on submitted demands and assist in ongoing negotiations with insurance adjusters.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and notes in the firm’s case management system.
  • Uphold confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Assist attorneys and legal staff with related case preparation as needed.

Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in legal writing, preferably in personal injury or civil litigation.
    • Strong command of legal terminology and ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
    • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality, accurate documents.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software (e.g., Clio, Needles, or similar).
    • Bachelor’s degree in a legal field certification preferred.
