SUMMARY:

The Legal Assistant will provide administrative support the in-house Legal Department of a growing multi-state consumer finance company.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•    Handling and processing incoming legal mail to ensure it is received by the proper recipient and addressed timely.
•    Make travel arrangements and other scheduling coordination for events and conferences.
•    Prepare, submit, and track invoices and expense reports. 
•    Prepare, review, and update correspondence including letters, authorizations and responses to official records requests..
•    Assist with required annual filings and reporting.
•    Interface daily with high level executives.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

•    High School diploma.
•    2-4 years of administrative assistant experience supporting corporate office in administrative capacity.
•    High level of proficiency using Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
•    Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
•    Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
•    Excellent telephone, writing, and proofreading skills.
•    Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.
•    Demonstrated ability to handle information in a sensitive and confidential manner.
•    Must type at least 60 WPM.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Associates degree in Business or Office Administration.
•    Law firm or in-house corporate legal department experience.

COMPENSATION:

•     The salary range for this position is $24.00/hour - $29.00/hour, based on the specific Knowledge/Skills/Abilities and/or Experience of the selected candidate

•    This position is eligible for Semi-Annual Incentive compensation based on individual and company performance guidelines.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

•    Office environment (8:30 am- 5:30pm).
•    No travel required.
