The Opportunity:
We're looking for a highly experienced Procurement Transactions attorney. Candidates should be ready to participate actively in global procurement operations, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of trends in procurement and IT, and be capable of leading legal risk management associated with these operations. The role also demands the capacity to provide customer-oriented support in a timely manner, ensuring smooth business operations.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 8-10 years of experience at a top law firm or in-house department with a focus on procurement transactions and complex commercial negotiations, including at least 3 years handling IT/SaaS and related agreements.
- Knowledge of legal issues in complex procurement and technology transactions.
- Experience in drafting, review, and negotiation of complex contracts across various procurement categories.
- Experience counseling on applicable laws, data privacy governance, cybersecurity, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and regions.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Membership in a State Bar as an attorney and qualified to practice law in good standing.
- Adept in handling technical category procurement, sourcing and procurement, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in support of Global Procurement, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating master agreements and related documents with suppliers across various procurement categories.
- Maintain an ongoing understanding of trends in Procurement and I.T. to evaluate risk and think and act strategically in support of the business.
- Support and drive global privacy governance, working closely with Privacy and across the Global Procurement, Global I.T., and other functions, including drafting and negotiating critical vendor contractual terms connected to data ingestion, processing, storage, and transfer.
- Lead Legal Third Party Risk Management, Privacy, and Cybersecurity commercial vendor management across various functions.
- Manage and organize assignments to ensure timely, customer-oriented support for the business.
