As one of the West Coast’s longest-standing civil rights organizations, LCCRSF stands with historically vulnerable communities, immigrants, and refugees—advancing their rights through litigation, advocacy, and direct legal support. We work alongside legal fellows, 1,000+ pro bono attorneys, and committed volunteers. Learn more at lccrsf.org.   

 

The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area welcomes interest from law students or recent law graduates who would like to pursue fellowships with LCCRSF. 

 

We are now accepting applications for Equal Justice Works (EJW), Skadden, Justice Catalyst, and other external fellowship candidates for placements beginning in Fall 2027. The following program teams may be available to host fellows: 

 

  • Economic Justice 
  • Racial Justice – Impact Litigation 
  • Immigrant Justice – Direct Services 
  • Immigrant Justice – Impact Litigation 

 

Applications for EJW, Skadden, and Justice Catalyst fellowships must be submitted on or before July 15, 2026. We review applications for students or recent graduates seeking to apply for other fellowships (including school-based fellowships) on a rolling basis. 

 

Job Type and Salary 

Fellowships at LCCRSF are full-time, salaried, exempt positions. The salary is $75,000 for a recent graduate or someone with 0-1 years of experience. Fellows additionally receive LCCRSF’s full benefits package. 

 

Benefits 

Competitive benefits package including 100% paid premiums for employees and 80% dependents plus generous paid time off/holidays (total of 6 weeks off/year not including sick time) and 403b employer contribution.  

  

While this position offers a primarily remote schedule, working in our San Francisco office will be  as needed. Monthly in-person staff meetings are mandatory for all employees.

Must be able to sit for extended periods, use a computer continuously, and communicate effectively. The working conditions described here are representative of those  to perform the essential functions of this position. This role involves extended periods of working at a computer and communicating with others. The ability to exchange information effectively is important for success in this position.
