Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Recruiter to join our team. The Legal Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring talented legal professionals to meet our firm's staffing needs. This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen understanding of the legal industry, and the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize various channels including job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals to source qualified legal candidates.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to recruitment and hiring processes.
- Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for specific roles.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit with the firm.
- Verify candidates' professional references to ensure their credibility and suitability for the position.
- Facilitate offer negotiations between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring competitive and fair compensation packages. Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external recruitment agencies to enhance the recruitment process and meet hiring goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor practices, and market conditions to inform recruitment strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably within the legal industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with candidates and hiring managers.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stand/Sit – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Walk – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc.
- Use of hands/fingers to handle or feel – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Climbs stairs – May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Carry weight/lift - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
