Job Title: Intern, Legal
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Location: New York, NY
Worksite Status: Hybrid (Position requires being on-site a minimum of three days per week)

Beam Living’s Internship Program is a 10-week immersive program where you will not only learn and grow in your respective field but also have the opportunity to be mentored by one of our awesome teammates and participate in a weekly leadership development seminar.
The program will begin on Monday, June 2, 2025 and end on Friday, August 8, 2025.

What you will do:
- Work with the different teams in the Legal Department.
- Assist with addressing various types of tenant issues, including matters in court.
- Assist the legal team with various types of tenant requests, including sublet and succession requests.
- Assist with our risk management program.
- Meet with an assigned mentor on a bi-weekly basis to discuss job performance and future career goals.
- Give a final presentation at the end of the program to convey what you learned throughout the program.
What you should have:
- The ability to connect with others to keep the team aligned and focused.
- An analytical ability to collect and use information to solve complex problems.
- The discipline and willingness to do what needs to be done.
- A love for doing what others won’t and solving difficult problems.
- A desire to grow and take on ever increasing responsibility.
- Some legal experience
- An interest in multifamily property management in New York City.
- Be a rising Junior or Senior in a Legal related field of study.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Doing any, or all of that, in a multi-family environment would be good too.

Base Salary: $21.00
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location.
