Job Summary:
Coker, Robb & Cannon, Family Lawyers, is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our team in Denton County. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of family law experience, including contested hearings. Familiarity with Denton County courts is preferred. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team while providing compassionate and skilled representation to our clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, modifications, and enforcements.
- Conduct contested hearings and mediations.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and orders.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
- Manage case files and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with the legal team to develop strategies for complex family law matters.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong courtroom experience, particularly in contested family law matters.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Proficient with legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to adapt to firm’s policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
- 2+ years of family law experience.
- 2+ years of courtroom experience.
- Experience in Denton County family courts preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel to courts in Denton county as required.

Salary- $85,000 - $125,000
