Associate General Counsel

The Associate General Counsel handles day-to-day legal work for the Thrive Companies portfolio and provides legal support for all business lines.  Types of matters include real estate acquisitions and financings, employment, landlord/tenant, construction, litigation, commercial leasing, corporate and insurance.  Background in all these areas is not required, but candidate must demonstrate ability to be flexible, learn new areas, supervise outside counsel and make sound decisions independently.  Candidate will report to the Chief Legal Officer and work closely with all business lines on issues as they arise.  Candidate may have some flexibility to work less than full-time if desired, and may utilize remote work and flexible office policies.

• Law degree and current license to practice law in State of Ohio.
• 5+ years of relevant private practice and/or in-house experience.
• Strong academic and work history plus demonstrated ability to achieve results for internal and external clients.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Pleasant demeanor and service-oriented attitude
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
